Clothing
Industry Training Authority (CITA) has established the Compliance
Resource Center (CRC) in June 2003. The act is in response to
the growing concern on the compliance issues when global trade
practice requests those suppliers to bear the compliance management
responsibility so as to remain in their buyers’ list.
Savvy customers today demand goods and products that are clean
and green. Buyers bearing the crown distinguish themselves as
being socially responsible put effort to ensure their products
are ethically manufactured: workers and employees are treated
with social consciousness, goods produced are complied with
required laws and regulation – on areas that cover quality,
safety, environment protection and custom practice.
In this approach eco-tex provides information on compliance
issues and international integrated compliance standards such
as CSM 2000. Furthermore eco-tex trains the participants about
its Social Monitoring approach, which contains a complaint service
for the concerned companies. It should bring the best practice
management for these companies. Therefore CRC and eco-tex will
disseminate their knowledge and know-how of compliance performance
always in consideration of local conditions in the production
areas. As an exclusive eco-tex partner CRC will coach and consult
companies in all industrial sectors, especially in China.
